Religions don't deserve special treatment
...Is the title of an article by AC Grayling, to be found in the online edition of the Guardian. There's no surprises there to those who know me (in fact, there's an upcoming proposition on that topic), but it's brilliantly written and well worth a read. And while you're at it, you might as well listen to the interview that Grayling gave to Little Atoms (available for download on their site). Interesting stuff.
I could not agree more with the author of that article. It sounds a lot like Dawkin's perspective exposed in his "The God Delusion". I highly recommend watching the documentaries he made for Channel 4:

Yeap, I've seen the documentary that Dawkins made for Channel 4 ("The Root of all Evil?", it was called), and it is indeed quite good. The only downside of the television format was that he could not go deep enough into his arguments. That's why his new book -- "The God Delusion" -- should make for excellent reading!
