Why Digg failed
There's an interesting article over at Kuro5hin detailing why Digg has failed. I know that the current mainstream feeling is that Digg is still a rising star in the Web 2.0 world, which is quite opposite from the definition of 'failing'. However, I do tend to agree with its author. Digg is a good example of how a vibrant, sustaining online community should not function. I have come to much of the same conclusions as the author of this article, and rest assured that nleyten is being designed accordingly.
